Negatives of relegation
What are they?

We don't have any players worth keeping apart from Lanzini, and he'll be off whether we stay up or not.

We aren't going to invest any money regardless; at least if we went down we have a massive clear out, win some games and hopefully get the feel good factor back. I genuinely can't see one negative to being relegated. West Ham has been a massive chore for 2 years and shows no sign of getting any better. I think they club would end up better off if we went down.

And the massive positive is it would cost G&S a fortune, which I'd be delighted about

I wouldn't give a flying fuck, as it's only a game and there are far more important things to worry about in life.

Biggest negative for the majority of us on here is that we will not be able to watch so many games on our Kodi box....

Andy,

Have you seen us play in the championship? we struggle to get 3rd, we often snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and make two bit northern sides look like Barcelona when they play us. The championship is no cake walk for us if that's our destination come May.

Re: Negatives of relegation
Really think there will be no quick way back if we go down. Its a real slog in the championship, seems like your playing every other midweek.Don’t think the crowds will stay up as they did last time as a lot of people will probably use it as the reason to stop going especially sitting in a half empty stadium. You see it on tv with some of these foreign teams who play in athletics stadiums, only smallish crowds and the atmosphere is awful.

For me I won't see very many Championship games from Europe...

Maybe that's a positive?

Re: Negatives of relegation
Despite the fact that this is looking more likely to be the outcome at the end of the season and the fact that a lot of us are used to it by now, the effect of relegation at this particular point in time will be worse than ever before.

The plan from G&S was obviously to move to the Bowl of Doom, put together a team that looked like it belonged on the big stage and then put a price ticket on the whole package and then eventually fuck off and leave us in the hands of someone with more money than sense a la Man City.

That plan has gone to shit, there's no question about it.

The negatives of going down now, apart from the money, which hasn't been invested in great part already, whatever bollocks they come out with about the squad, is that we would not look anywhere near as attractive a prospect for any potential buyer for some time to come.

This can only mean that the Daves would not sell up for the foreseeable future and we will be left with the status quo in regard to squad investment, whilst playing in a lower division(s), in front of less people in a massive white elephant stadium. Even the prospect of winning a few games and then coming straight back up isn't a guarantee once the rot sets in.

The whole thing for them hinges around staying up and them putting significant amounts of money in to window dress the whole club.

For me, the sold us out when they agreed to takeover the Olympic Stadium rather than redevelop UP and they are now reaping what they have sown (sowed? sewn?).

I've gone past caring now
its been shit since we left our home
3 away games done and i'll try to get to as many as possible as it only feels like west ham when you go away

the home games feels like taking my boy to the circus. he insists on fucking popcorn at half time and then goes and watches 11 elephants for another 45 minutes

I think we have some very talented players. I dont want to see the likes of Lanzini, Antonio, Obiang, Reid, Cresswell, Hernandez, Zabaleta, and Arnautovic go. They are not bad players they just need a manager to come in and extract the quality they have out of them.

Negatives of relegation

- Nearly all the squad will leave. Some talented players will be gone. Big loss. They arent shit just need a manager to get them playing again

- Championship harder to get out of than last time

- Got some players who will stay on big wages or have to write them off for nothing or less than half what we paid for them

- More home games at the OS

Relegation?? Really???

We don't need to go down to clear the decks and rebuild. We just need the cunting owners to open their wallets and improve the squad instead of hoping to tread water each season
